Description	:	Hazel (Bishop) Trent, age 84, widow of Franklin W. Trent, of Union, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Oakmont of Union. Mrs. Trent was born in Union County, SC, on May 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Fred Roper Bishop and Julia (Lawson) Bishop. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Graham Flowers. Mrs. Trent was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Trent was born in Union County, SC, on May 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Fred Roper Bishop and Julia (Lawson) Bishop. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Graham Flowers. Mrs. Trent was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are five nieces: Connie McCoy (Gerald), Julie Hart (Jim) all of Union, Pat Gault of Pauline, Bonnie Elliott of Simpsonville and Pam Hendry (Sandy) of Anderson and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Trent was predeceased by three sisters. Funeral services were held 3:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Cunningham and Rev. Josh Freeman. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Donald Hawkins, Leonard Smith, James Wicks, Roger Bishop, Wayne Bishop and Lindsey Bishop. Nurses and staff of Oakmont Nursing Home were asked to serve as the honorary escort. Visitation was held in the church immediately following the committal service.
