Description	:	Hazel D. Wells Fritz, daughter of Henry and Carrie (Kingsbury) Wells, was born November 17, 1898 at Defiance, Iowa. On March 11, 1924 she was united in marriage to William W. Fritz. A lifetime resident of Shelby county, she was a member of the Mother Church of Christ Scientists at Boston, Mass. Mrs. Fritz passed away December 12, 1953 at the Mercy hospital in Council Bluffs after a short illness. She had reached the age of 55 years and twenty five days. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John and Frank Wells and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Dahlgren and Mrs. Dessie Bishop. Funeral services were held at the Pauley funeral home Monday, December 14 with Mrs. Mary Johnson of Carroll reading the rites. Burial was in Bowman's Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Benoit, Edwin Huffman, Milton Moormeier, Edmond Book, Alfred Jacobsen and Normal Mickelsen.
