She was born Sept. 19, 1899, at Conrad, Mont., to William and Abby (Fitzpatrick) Zimmerman. At an early age she moved with her family to Spokane, where she graduated from high school. She was a graduated of Cheney Normal School and taught school in southeastern Washington for several years. She married George Peterson on Nov. 27, 1920, at Dayton. They mvoed to Manson in 1925. Mrs. Peterson taught school in Manson until her retirement in 1962. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and Alter Society and served on the Manson School Board for several years. Survivors include two sons, Floyd and Loren Peterson, both of Manson; a niece, Joanne Zimmerman of Rochester, NY; a sister, Ada Marie Zimmerman Mogan of Manson; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and three brothers.
