Description	:	Born to Bill Porter, Sr., and Pearl Millermon Porter at Amery, Wisconsin. She came to the Tobacco Valley in Lincoln County, Montana with her family as a small child. She married Joe Stoken on 25 Aug 1940. She was very active in community and church affairs. She was a member of the Garden Club, the Montana Stockgrowers Association, the Montana Logging Association, and Women in Timber. She also served on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Electric. She came to the Tobacco Valley in Lincoln County, Montana with her family as a small child. She married Joe Stoken on 25 Aug 1940. She was very active in community and church affairs. She was a member of the Garden Club, the Montana Stockgrowers Association, the Montana Logging Association, and Women in Timber. She also served on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Electric. She held all offices and commission positions at Our Lady of Mercy Parish and the Kalispell Deanery Council of Catholic Women. She also held many offices and commission positions for the Helena Diocese of the Council of Catholic Women and was the Diocesan president from 1983-1985. She was honored as Outstanding Catholic Woman for 1985 at the Montana Council of Catholic Women and received a certificate of recognition from Pope John Paul bestowing his blessing upon her for this honor, making her the first woman to receive an honor such as this in the council's 65-year history. Following her presidency, she served as a representative on the Diocesan Pastoral Council, which served in an advisory capacity to Bishop Eldon Curtis as well as serving as a representative to the Diocese council planning the direction of the Diocese for the 1980s. At the time of her death, she had been nominated to run for province director of the Portland Province by the Women of the Kalispell Deanery.
