Read More	Hazel M.Todd 92 of McComb passed away Wednesday, Feb 14, 2018 at the Heritage in Findlay where she had been a patient for several weeks. Hazel was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. Hazel will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Hazel was born on October 31, 1925 in Maple City, Michigan to the late Herman and Ruth (Rader) Prowant. One evening her friends introduced her to a young man who was getting ready to go over seas with the United States Army. This gentleman, Dale “Bill” Todd went over seas but sent money back to his sister and made her set some of the money aside so he could buy a ring for Hazel. On December 2, 1945 they were married in Williamstown, Ohio and have celebrated over 72 years together and he survives her. Hazel is also survived by her daughter Marcia (Robert) Schwab of McComb; sister Beverly (Bartly) Pardee of Findlay and her sister-in-law Marilyn Prowant of Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her brothers: John and Harold Prowant. Hazel was a telephone operator, worked for the Meat Locker in McComb and then worked for the Kuss Corporation for 22 years. She was a member of the McComb United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Stars. Hazel, along with her husband Bill, enjoyed playing cards with their close friends, especially canasta. They also enjoyed boating at Lake Erie and Baw Beese Lake in Hillsdale, Michigan, and the annual summer vacation to Glenn Lake, Michigan. She loved looking out the window and seeing birds and working in her flower garden. Hazel treasured the time she spent with her family, she enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She was known for her frosted sugar cookies and made sure each cookie was frosted perfectly to her liking with a swirl on top. She had many regular customers who will miss Hazel's cookies. Visitation for Hazel will be on Sunday February 18, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 PM in the HARTLEY-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 370 Park Dr S., P.O Box 61, McComb, Ohio 45858. Hazel’s funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be gifted in Hazel’s honor to the Hancock County Humane Society, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
