Hazel was formerly employed by Fairfield Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was an avid Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed fishing trips with her late husband. She was born on September 26, 1926 in Bremen, Ohio a daughter of the late Earl and Laura Poling. She was a member of the 6th Avenue United Methodist Church. Hazel was formerly employed by Fairfield Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was an avid Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed fishing trips with her late husband. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Kessler and Susan Ferrow (Jim Reedy); brothers, Harley Poling and Herbert (Pat) Poling all of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Alice (Joe) Bitler of Amanda, Ohio; granddaughter, Lindsey (Brent) Ferrow-Baker of Cincinnati, Ohio. Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Laura Poling; husband, Ray Kessler in 1993; four sisters, Vivian Oiler, Mary Poling, Mildred Cox and Margaret Roberts. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster, Ohio. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Rick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.
