Description	:	Hazel P. McClure The community was saddened by the passing of Mrs. Hazel Plummer McClure which occurred at the Mayo Memorial Hospital July 8. Mrs. McClure had been in poor health during the past year following a surgical operation July 6th, 1944, while in Norwich, Conn. McClure The community was saddened by the passing of Mrs. Hazel Plummer McClure which occurred at the Mayo Memorial Hospital July 8. Mrs. McClure had been in poor health during the past year following a surgical operation July 6th, 1944, while in Norwich, Conn. Mrs. McClure was one who took great pride in her home always thinking of the welfare of her family and of others rather than herself. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Advent church. Her Christian faith always held first place in her life and was evident to all who knew her. Mrs. McClure was born in Lewiston Feb. 24, 1899, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Y. Hodsdon. She was adopted on her third birthday by the late Frank and Mae Berry Plummer and came to Dover-Foxcroft where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy in the class of 1918. On August 1st of that year she was married to Clifford McClure of Greenville Junction. To mourn her loss are her husband and 2 daughters, Luella and Norma, 2 sisters of Washington, D. C. and a brother in Lewiston, besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the residence on South St. July 10 at 2 p.m. Rev. W. S. Stackhouse officiating, assisted by Rev. A. W. Wentworth. Burial was in the Poole Cemetery in Dover. The high esteem in which she was held by her friends was shown by the many beautiful flowers. Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep From which one never wakes to weep.
