Mrs. Lynch was born in Hannah on July 26th, 1930. She was one of ten children of the late Leo J. Poston and the late Ozela Stone Poston, and was the widow of the late Dallas Lynch. Lynch FRIENDFIELD: Mrs. Hazel Travene Poston Lynch, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 4th, 2011 in her home after a long illness. Mrs. Lynch was born in Hannah on July 26th, 1930. She was one of ten children of the late Leo J. Poston and the late Ozela Stone Poston, and was the widow of the late Dallas Lynch. Mrs. Lynch was a long-time member of Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was their church pianist for six years, was church pianist for Stone's Chapel for over forty years, and was the minister of music for ten years at Christian Fellowship Mission. The family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to Dr. O. Sitti for her close friendship of over fifteen years. Also, special appreciation to Agape Hospice for their compassionate care - especially Kim Newton, Jamie Haselden, Pastor Frank Sedgewick, Kathy Dale Davieau, Lyn Poston, Wayne Poston, and Sheron Holland - for their love, support, and unwavering loyalty during Mrs. Lynch's times of need. Mrs. Lynch's surviving family includes her two daughters, Wanda A. Mastalski (Henry), of Murrells Inlet, and Nancy C. Hayes (Alvin), of Friendfield; her grandchildren, Shawn P. Hayes (Tonya), of Scranton, Shay Hayes (Penny), of Timmonsville, Shane A. Hayes (Shellie), of Scranton, Karen P. Shaver (Pete), of Murrells Inlet, Mark Poston (Richelle), of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Melissa Grayson (Bob), Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, and Michelle Krupowicz (K.J.), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her eleven great-grandchildren, her sister, Martha P. Cook (D.R.), of Lake City; and brother, Paul B. Poston (Mary Lyn), of Johnsonville. Mrs. Lynch is preceded in death by her siblings, Ila Mae Poston, Kathleen A. Hicks, Major Woodrow Poston, Rachel P. Jones, Joyce P. Managan, Winnie Mae Cox, and Aulbra L. Poston. The family of Mrs. Lynch will have visitation from six until eight o'clock p.m., tonight, Monday, June 6th, 2o11 in the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church in Friendfield. Funeral services for Mrs. Lynch will be held at eleven o'clock a.m., Tuesday, June 7th, 2011 in the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow the funeral services in Riverside Cemetery in Pamplico. Memorials may be made to the Friendfield P. H. Church, 2019 Friendfield Road, Scranton, SC 29591.
