"Fuzzy" Wood of Jonesville, SC, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center due to heart complications. Mrs. Wood was born in Union, November 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Willie James Thompson and Annie Mae (Horne) Thompson. A 1958 graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church, Mrs. Wood had worked for Conso Products, Winn Dixie and Wal Mart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and best friend to her husband. Mrs. Wood was born in Union, November 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Willie James Thompson and Annie Mae (Horne) Thompson. A 1958 graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church, Mrs. Wood had worked for Conso Products, Winn Dixie and Wal Mart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and best friend to her husband. Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Kathrine Jean (Wood) Winburn and husband Kirk of Rock Hill and Rhonda (Wood) Bogan and husband David of Spartanburg: one son, Timmy Wayne Wood of Jonesville; a sister, Betty Lou Wood of Union; two brothers, Billy Thompson of Union and Paul Thompson and wife Virginia of Jonesville; and four granddaughters. Graveside services were held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Alan West and Rev. Eddie Smith. The family received friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the services. Memorials could be made to Mt. Joy Baptist Church, Jonesville, SC. S.R.
