Thomas Gorki (born 1852) father: Michael Gorki, mother: Marie Bugas Marie Szymkowiak (born 1854) father: Martin Szymkowiak, mother: Catharine Dyczek Though she frequently gave a variety of years of immigration, she officially arrived at the Port of Baltimore in November 1890 from Poland. The next year, she married Ignatz Kowalski, probably in Pennsylvania, though no marriage record has been located to date. They first settled in Everson, Fayette, Pennsylvania, USA, where their older children were born. Some time around 1901-1904, they relocated to Bay City, Michigan, where other members of the Kowalski family had settled. Ignatz's sister, Anna Kasprzak, also moved to Bay City with them, and lived with them until her death.
