She grew to womanhood in the community of her birth, attended the Solomon schools and graduated from Solomon High School. After high school she worked for A.B. Richardson Electric in Solomon, was the head clerk in the PX at Smoky Hill Air Force Base, Salina, and had an antique business for several years. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1975. Dixon, 94, Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away Aug 11, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo. She was born July 6, 1917, in Solomon, the daughter of Fred and Agnes (Hauserman) Eisenhauer. She grew to womanhood in the community of her birth, attended the Solomon schools and graduated from Solomon High School. After high school, she worked for A. B. Richardson Electric in Solomon, was the head clerk in the PX at Smoky Hill Air Force Base in Salina, and had an antique business for several years. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1975. Survivors include her son, Fred Dixon of Solomon; a sister, Pauline Brenenman of Salina; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Carl F. Dixon; a sister, Eva Donmyer; a brother, Harold Eisenhauer; and two infant brothers, Clyde and Clifford. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon, with Pastor Jack Craig officiating. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Carlson-Becker Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Solomon Senior Center and left at the funeral home.
