Description	:	Helen Bagaason, 96, of Williston, formerly of Grenora, ND died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family. Helen Bagaason was born on the family farm at Grenora, ND on March 30, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Cynthia (Daw) Angermeier, being the seconded recorded birth in Grenora Township. Read More	Helen Bagaason, 96, of Williston, formerly of Grenora, ND died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family. Helen Bagaason was born on the family farm at Grenora, ND on March 30, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Cynthia (Daw) Angermeier, being the seconded recorded birth in Grenora Township. She was raised in rural Grenora, and educated and graduated from Grenora High School. On July 19, 1935, Helen was united in marriage to Gerhard Gangstad in Grenora. They lived on the farm until 1942, then moved into Grenora so the children could attend school. Gerhard passed away in California. They had three daughters and a son. On September 27, 1945, Helen was united in marriage to Kenneth Bagaason of Clearbrook, MN, they were married in Plentywood, MT. They had two daughters. Helen was a member of the Alvin T. Larson American Legion Auxiliary since 1947, serving as the Secretary and several other offices. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and was President of the Girl Scout Association in Grenora. Helen was also a 4-H leader and was a Grenora City Park Board member and clerk for many years. Helen worked at the Grenora School lunch room. She was an active member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the ladies circles and taught Sunday school for a number of years. Helen was interested in nature, growing flowers and plants. She crocheted Afghans and pillows for her family, along with quilting. Helen enjoyed watching Baseball, Wheel of Fortune and Lawrence Welk. And lastly, Helen loved her Chocolates. Survivors include 5 daughters, Ruth (Mack) Henson of Waukegan, IL, Cynthia Stauffer of rural Zahl, ND, Mary Ann (LaVern) Norvold of Portland, OR, Corinne (Ronnie) Dullum of Vancouver, WA and Kathy Bagaason of Bismarck, ND, 13 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sister-in-laws Harriett Holm, Carol Lowe, Mabel Erickson and Eleanor Angermeier. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, five brothers : William “Bill”, Charles “Carl”, Harry, Roy and Rex, one sister: Ruth, one son Gerhard, her daughter-in-law Carol Gangstad, her son-in-law, Robert Stauffer and two grandsons, Robert W. and Robert S.
