Description	:	Helen B. Matzke, daughter of John and Esther (Kaiser) Matzke was born on February 4, 1927 on the family farm near Marion, North Dakota. She received her education from Greenland Country School and the Marion High School. Helen was united in marriage to David K. Anderson on April 1, 1946 at Moorhead, Minnesota. The couple lived in the Marion area, where Helen worked as an assistant cook at the Marion High School, and later owning the Marion Café for several years. David died on April 26, 2000. She received her education from Greenland Country School and the Marion High School. Helen was united in marriage to David K. Anderson on April 1, 1946 at Moorhead, Minnesota. The couple lived in the Marion area, where Helen worked as an assistant cook at the Marion High School, and later owning the Marion Café for several years. David died on April 26, 2000. Helen continued to live in Marion, before entering the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure in 2002. In her younger years, Helen was active as a 4-H Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, hunting, fishing and watching birds. But most of all, Helen will be remembered for her love of all sports, especially the games her grandchildren were active in. Helen died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure. She was 81 years old. She is survived by six children, Ramona, Lucille, Rhea, Dallas, Virginia and Jay; four brothers, Edward, Jim, Delmar, Dale; four sisters, Margie, Donna, Marlene and Corrine; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother Roy Matzke.
