Description	:	PIERCE - Services for Helen C. Weyhrich, 95, Pierce, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Gordon Bruce will officiate. Burial will be at Prospect View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce. She died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Pierce Manor. The daughter of Ernest and Lilian (Frey) Zumbrum was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Pierce. She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Pierce and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church parsonage in Pierce on Feb. 7, 1937. She graduated from Pierce High School. On Aug. 4, 1935, at the United Methodist Church in Pierce, she married Elmer Weyhrich. They owned and operated the first dry cleaner in Pierce for nine years. They did some farming west of Pierce and worked at Reeds Furniture store in Pierce. Helen and Elmer went to nursing homes throughout the area and entertained the elderly. She has been a resident of the Pierce Manor since October of 2007. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. Survivors include two sons, Stanley and wife Dorothy Weyhrich of Kingston, Ark., and Jerry and wife LaFaye Weyhrich of Chickasha, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Jane Kimball of Norfolk; and one brother, Harlan and wife LaVerna Zumbrum of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry Weyhrich; her husband, Elmer, who passed away on April 26, 2006; one granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters. Music will be provided by organist, Linda Peekenschneider, with a duet by Rick and Cheryl Higgins. Casketbearers will be Dwight Kahny, Mike Nevins, Roger Weyhrich, Randy Weyhrich, Seth Weyhrich and Rick Eberhardt. Source: Norfolk Daily News, July 7, 2011
