Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs Estle (Clarice) Foster, 49, of rural Clarinda were conducted at the Clarinda Memorial Chapel, Saturday with the Rev Ron Blix officiating. Interment was in the Memory Cemetery at New Market. Mrs Foster, a resident of the New Market area since 1944, died at the Municipal Hospital Wednesday after being ill for several years. She was born Oct 6, 1926, at Des Moines, the daughter of Elmer Abel and Frieda Lock. Interment was in the Memory Cemetery at New Market. Mrs Foster, a resident of the New Market area since 1944, died at the Municipal Hospital Wednesday after being ill for several years. She was born Oct 6, 1926, at Des Moines, the daughter of Elmer Abel and Frieda Lock. Her mother died when she was 9 years old, and from that time on she spent her summers with the Raymond Johnsons, near New Market. She came to live with the Johnsons during her senior year in high school and graduated from New Market High School in 1944. After graduation she taught school in the Guss area. She was united in marriage to Estle Foster on Oct 23, 1945, at Troy, Kan. She taught Sunday school classes for many years at the Shambaugh and New Market Methodist churches and was a member of LSHC club. She is survived by her husband Estle: four children, Carroll of Clarinda, James of the home, Mrs Keith (Patty) Wright, and Mrs Roger (Susan) Harris, both of New Market; four granddaughters; her stepmother, Mrs Scharlotte Abel of Omaha; foster parents, Mr and Mrs Raymond Johnson of Clarinda; two brothers, Clair Abel of Ephrata, Wash, and Cloyce Abel of Creston; one sister, Mrs Eugene Houchin of Gravity. She was preceded in death by her parents. Casket bearers were Verlin Cade, Richard Holste, Duane Sunderman, Rollyn Sunderman, Herbert Tally and Elza West. Mrs Duane Sunderman and Mrs Richard Holste were in charge of the registers. In charge of the music was Mrs Darrel Damewood. A memorial was established to the American Cancer Society.
