Johnson was born March 16, 1939 in New Hampton, Iowa, daughter of Alfred and Mildred Thompson Johnson. She graduated from New Hampton High School. Helen married Lyle C. Johnson was born March 16, 1939 in New Hampton, Iowa, daughter of Alfred and Mildred Thompson Johnson. She graduated from New Hampton High School. Helen married Lyle C. Stolfus and they later divorced. Helen was an unselfish and giving person to everyone, especially though to her girls and their children. "Grandma Helen" took care of dozens of children, grandchildren and others, over the years. This kept her near her home, she never drove, but she was always giving. Helen was non judgmental and always looked for and found the good in everyone. She enjoyed puzzles, crossword puzzles, scrabble, and reading. She is survived by her 5 daughters and their husbands: Susan and Daniel Feller of Waterloo, Denise and Scott Truax of La Porte City, Deborah and LeRoy Wilkes of Waterloo, Lila and Kevin Ward of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Marnie and Chad Holtzman of Cedar Falls; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law Lowell and Bunny Johnson of Rowland Heights, California; two brothers in law: Spec Hatting of Brigham City, Utah and Cletus Cutsforth of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; and sister in law Sharron Johnson of New Hampton. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Donna Hatting and Darlys Cutsforth, and brother Walter Johnson.
