Their simple lunches together continued through three daughters and nine grandchildren. Watching basketball was always a passion for grandma. In the early years, it was the kids teams. In the later years, she watch the local college teams on television. In her later years, grandma set her sights on discovering her untapped talent. She had always dabbled in the poetry. But the painting was an unexpected joy. Though her paintings were no masterpieces, the rural folk-art style was one that spoke volumes about her experiences.
