She married William Nagengast on June 2, 1936, in Leigh. After her marriage, the couple farmed in the Leigh area and later near Pilger. They moved to the Scribner area in the mid 1950s and then north of North Bend. They later moved south of Fremont until moving into Fremont in 1967. Her husband preceded her in death June 26, 1967. She grew up in Leigh. She married William Nagengast on June 2, 1936, in Leigh. After her marriage, the couple farmed in the Leigh area and later near Pilger. They moved to the Scribner area in the mid 1950s and then north of North Bend. They later moved south of Fremont until moving into Fremont in 1967. Her husband preceded her in death June 26, 1967. She had been a resident of Arbor Manor since 1996. She worked at the former Brestwood Inn in Fremont for 10 years in the late 1960s through the 1970s. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Survivors include: three sons, William L. (and wife, Ruth) Nagengast of West Point, Norman (and wife, Judith) Nagengast of Moorpark, Calif., and Daniel (and wife, Sandy) Nagengast of Chanute, Kan.; three daughters, Valdean Vrba, Jeri (and husband, Johnny) Schlepp and Elaine (and husband, Gene) Crist, all of Fremont; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
