Helen Elizabeth Lantsberger was born April 6, 1921 to Nicholas and Katherine (Sadler) Mack in Hamlin County, South Dakota. She grew up in the rural Kranzburg area and attended school at Holy Rosary in Kranzburg and the rural country school. On September 5, 1942 she married William A. Fox. William Fox passed away in 1947. Lantsberger, age 86, of Watertown, SD, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 at her home in Watertown. Helen Elizabeth Lantsberger was born April 6, 1921 to Nicholas and Katherine (Sadler) Mack in Hamlin County, South Dakota. She grew up in the rural Kranzburg area and attended school at Holy Rosary in Kranzburg and the rural country school. On September 5, 1942 she married William A. Fox. William Fox passed away in 1947. Helen married Richard W. Lantsberger on January 26, 1949 in the Immaculate Conception Church, and they made their home in Watertown. Helen was devoted to her family and was an excellent cook and homemaker. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church, including being a member of St. Matthew's Family Circle, and a Eucharistic minister to the homebound. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Joseph, William, Albert, Mathew, Leo and Mark; one sister, Lillian; an infant daughter, Rita Louise, and one great grandchild, Matthew Gregg. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Judy Fox (Paul) McCune of Springfield, MO, Elaine Fox (Dave) Konechne of Pierre, SD, Father John Lantsberger of Watertown, SD, Anne Lantsberger of Madison, SD, Laura Lantsberger of Scottsdale, AZ, Elizabeth Lantsberger of Watertown, SD, Thomas (Melissa) Lantsberger of Columbia, IL, and Kathryn Lantsberger of Chaska, MN; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Mary (Mark) Mack of Watertown, and Bernice (Leo) Mack of Dell Rapids, SD. Funeral mass will be Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Immaculate Conception Church with Father John Lantsberger as celebrant, along with Father James Bream, Fr. James Lantsberger, and other visiting con-celebrants. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Pallbearers will be her eight children. Arrangements by Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel.
