Disney, passed away at her home in Omaha at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, after an illness of several months from a complication of diseases. She was in her 84th year. The day of Mrs. Sleeper's passing was the day of the funeral of Mr. Disney's mother, Mrs. Mary Disney, in David City. Mr. and Mrs. Disney went to Omaha Wednesday, Oct. 8, to attend the funeral of Mrs. Sleeper, which was held at the Sleeper home Thursday afternoon, Oct. 9 at 2 o'clock. Interment was in West Lawn cemetery, Omaha. February 6, 1841, was the date of Mrs. Sleeper's birth, and her birthplace was Genesee, New York. Her maiden name was Helen Elizabeth Delbridge. She was married to Ira Sleeper at Fond du Lac, Wis., June 11, 1858. Mr. and Mrs. Sleeper came to Nebraska in 1871 and located on a homestead near Red Cloud. In 1899 they moved to David City, residing here until moving to Omaha in 1910. Mr. Sleeper died in Omaha on March 16, 1921. Five children, two sons and three daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sleeper. One son, Frank, died in 1891. The surviving children are F. W. Sleeper of Kimball, Mrs. S. Gl Kidd and Mrs. Anna Jeffers of Omaha and Mrs. G. P. Disney of David City. Mrs. Sleeper was a member of the Episcopal church and followed its teachings faithfully during her lifetime. She was highly respected by a large circle of friends and was a kid and loving wife and mother.
