Description	:	HELEN ELIZABETH POSVAR Helen Elizabeth Posvar was born October 15, 1907, at Plainview, NE. She was the youngest child of Frank and Anna (Synovec)Sirek. She passed away at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, NE, July 9, 1991, at the age of 83. She graduated from the Plainview High School in 1926 and from Wayne State Teachers College in 1931. She taught school in Plainview, Orchard and Chambers. She married Stanley Edward Posvar on October 1, 1935, at Elk Point, South Dakota. She was the youngest child of Frank and Anna (Synovec)Sirek. She passed away at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, NE, July 9, 1991, at the age of 83. She graduated from the Plainview High School in 1926 and from Wayne State Teachers College in 1931. She taught school in Plainview, Orchard and Chambers. She married Stanley Edward Posvar on October 1, 1935, at Elk Point, South Dakota. A son, Eugene, was born to this union in in 1943 in Omaha, NE. They made their home in Foster, NE where they ran a creamery and Helen was Postmaster. They moved to Beaver City in 1957, then to Gibbon in 1964, where she was employed at the Norbest Turkey Plant until 1978, when she moved back to Beaver City. She attended the Grace Brethren Church. Survivors include a son Gene and wife Sharon of Beaver City; a grandson, Keven Posvar of Oxford, a granddaughter Gena and husband Ron Putnam and a great-grandson Justin Lee Putnam of Beaver City. Preceding her in death were her husband Stanley in 1970; three sisters: Alice Tepner, Libby Domnisse and Jenny Tepner; three brothers: Gerald Sirek, Lottie Sirek and Lumar Sirek.
