Description	:	Helen Elizabeth White was born December 23, 1915 to Edwin Hazel White and Electa Edith Curless White in Wabash County. She was named Helen after a friend of her mother, and Elizabeth after her grandmother Curless' middle name. She was always proud of being close to her five siblings; brothers Robert, Edwin, Jr., and sisters Mary, Lola and Joanne. Helen attended school at LaFontaine, Indiana which is where she graduated on April 23, 1934. Read More	Helen Elizabeth White was born December 23, 1915 to Edwin Hazel White and Electa Edith Curless White in Wabash County. She was named Helen after a friend of her mother, and Elizabeth after her grandmother Curless' middle name. She was always proud of being close to her five siblings; brothers Robert, Edwin, Jr., and sisters Mary, Lola and Joanne. Helen attended school at LaFontaine, Indiana which is where she graduated on April 23, 1934. After finishing high school, Helen attended beauty school and began a career as a beauty operator in Wabash. It was then that she met George Henry Simpson. They wed on October 5, 1941. That January, George joined the army and was later killed (November 1944) in action over Germany. On May 10, 1944, their son George Edward Simpson was born. In 1946 after being discharged from the army, Hamer Roser came courting. "It wasn't long before he was serious:, Helen once wrote. They were wed on July 27, 1946 and their son John Allen Roser was born two years later. Hamer and Helen spent 46 happily married years together raising their boys. They lived in Wabash until retiring, then spent winters in Sebring, Florida. Later they made Florida their full-time residence. They enjoyed life by playing cards, going fishing or just visiting with family and friends. Helen wrote that her marriage to Hamer was "full of lots of happiness, much love, lots of laughter and good friends." Her devotion to her family was evident in her love for her granddaughters, Marji (Simpson) Drost and Greta (Simpson) Suydam. She also loved spending time with her three great-grandchildren. Helen was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. She is missed by many.
