This community was shocked and deeply grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Clarence Miller, Sunday night at a Lincoln hospital. The bereaved family including the husband and three small children, the youngest an infant son born Sunday, has the profoundest sympathy in a special sense of many friends in the loss of this young mother, who had the admiration and respect of all who knew her, having won this regard by the fine care of her family and for her cheerful, gracious disposition. This community was shocked and deeply grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Clarence Miller, Sunday night at a Lincoln hospital. The bereaved family including the husband and three small children, the youngest an infant son born Sunday, has the profoundest sympathy in a special sense of many friends in the loss of this young mother, who had the admiration and respect of all who knew her, having won this regard by the fine care of her family and for her cheerful, gracious disposition. Helen Emma Johnsen, daughter of Peter A. and Alvina Johnsen was born at Cordova October 22, 1913, and passed away February 11, 1945 at the age of 31 years, 3 months and 19 days. She attended school at Cordova and Exeter. She was baptized in St. John's Lutheran Church at Cordova and was also a member of the high school class in the Congregational Church in Exeter. She was united in marriage to Clarence R. Miller on July 16, 1936, at York. To this union were born three children, Robert Jean, Bonnie Lea and Ronald Dene. Mrs. Miller leaves to mourn her departure besides her husband and three children, her father, Peter A. Johnsen of Seward; three sisters, Mrs. Clifford E. Morgan of Seward, Mrs. Clifford Wells of Lincoln and Mrs. Al Heidenreich of Seward; one brother, Cpl. Harvey A. Johnsen, her grandfather, Nels Johnsen of Cordova; other relatives and a large number of friends. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. A. E. Bashford in the Congregational Church on Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery.
