Read More	Helen Ethel Rasmussen was born on January 18, 1917 in White, South Dakota the daughter of Walter and Alva (Cyule) Green. She died on Sunday, March 6, at the Virginia Convalescent Center in Virgina, Minnesota at the age of 88. Helen received her education in White, SD. She was married to Adolph Tonsager on September 16, 1943 in Brookings, SD. She was then employed at the Brookings Coffee Shop for three years and later at Ione's Caf?. They moved to Arlington, SD in 1967 and Helen was employed as a baker at the City Cafe for 27 years. Adolph died on December 4, 1977 in Sioux Falls, SD. On September 15, 1979, she married Art Thorsheim in Arlington, SD. He died on August 15, 1981 in Minneapolis, MN. She married Jay Rasmussen on March 31, 1990 in Arlington, SD. He died in 1992. Helen has resided in Eveleth, MN since 2000. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Edgar l. Herrick Auxiliary Post #42 in Arlington, SD. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Helen is survived by her adopted son Stanley Tonsager of Mt. Joy, PA.; one daughter Stella Kotnik (Joseph) of Eveleth, MN; five grandchildren Jason, Danica, Shane and Kristina Kotnik and Andrew Tonsager; one sister Clara Norris of Arlington, SD; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends at Willow Wood Assisted Living Residence and the Virginia Concalescent Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, an infant son, Edward, one grandson, Stanley Tonsager, Jr., brothers George, Martin, Fremont, Irvin, William and Herman Green, sisters Beulah Betts, Adelaide Prusmman, and Violet Bossingham.
