Description	:	Helen Phillips Lemmon Sister of local residents Helen Faye Phillips Lemmon, 60, of Racine, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Lemmon was born in Tennessee on May 23, 1937, the daughter of Burley and Lina Phillips.She enjoyed cooking, sewing, planting flowers, growing gardens, crocheting, reading and auto racing. She is also survived by three sisters, Margaret Edwards of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ruby Phillips of Lake City and Bernice Patterson and her husband, Ervin, of LaFollette; four brothers, Ted Phillips of Clinton, Billy Phillips and Gene Phillips and his wife, Linda, all of Oliver Springs, and Junior Phillips and his wife, Lisa, of Lenoir City; two aunts, Oma Cook and Louise Armes; an uncle, Elizk Phillips; and by several nieces and nephews.Mary E. Seiber and family are considered special friends.In addition to her parents, Beacher Seiber, the father of her children, and her second husband,Thomas Lemmon, are deceased. A sister, Inez Worley, a brother, Alvin Ray Phillips; and her grandparents, Mary C. Phillips, Hanna Phillips and Alfred Phillips, also died earlier.A wake was held Sunday night, Dec. 28, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. The funeral was to be held at 1 this afternoon, Dec. 29, at Tuppertown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Bryson Pride and the Rev. Edwin Phillips officiating.Burial was to follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton.
