Description	:	Helen G. Davis, 97, died Friday evening, July 20, 2007, at her daughter's home in East Wenatchee, where she had lived since March of 1995. With the exception of two years at Colonial Vista long term care, May 2002 until October 2004, when she returned home. She was born September 29, 1909, in Great Falls, MT to Simon and Anna (Hausworth) Rohlman. The family moved to Palisades from Ephrata in 1916, where Helen attended grade school. Davis, 97, died Friday evening, July 20, 2007, at her daughter's home in East Wenatchee, where she had lived since March of 1995. She was born September 29, 1909, in Great Falls, MT to Simon and Anna (Hausworth) Rohlman. The family moved to Palisades from Ephrata in 1916, where Helen attended grade school. There she met and married Jesse R. Bell November 24, 1928. Daughter, Barbara was born in 1933. They resided in Palisades, where Helen helped Jesse in their soft fruit and apple ranch for many years. In 1948, they sold the ranch and moved to Wenatchee, where Helen worked as an apple sorter in various fruit warehouses. She also worked at Milot Mills Florist and Greenhouse for 15 years, developing great skill in making floral arrangements and funeral sprays. Jesse died October 18, 1970. In April, 1977, she married Kermit Paine who died suddenly October 1978. In 1979, Helen married Joe Davis. Together they enjoyed eight years in Wenatchee until his death in 1987. Helen was a wonderful, generous, loving mother, grandma and great-grandma. She didn't enjoy cooking, but still made the best apple pies ever! She was a past member of the Palisades Grange and she enjoyed dancing and playing pinochle in her younger days and going to Mill Bay Casino several years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; four brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Monroe and grandson, Jeffery Monroe at their home in East Wenatchee; grandson, Rick Monroe (Jodi); great-grandchildren, Julia, Jacqueline and Robert Monroe of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen also leaves her sisters, Alice Bower of Richland and Marie Stoner of Yakima; sister-in-law, Gertrude Rohlman of East Wenatchee; and most devoted care giver, Deborah Bliss of Wenatchee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 1315 8th St. N.E., East Wenatchee, Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Argemiro Orozco, Celebrant. The casket will remain closed to the public. The Service will conclude at the church with a Private Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorials, in Helen Davis' name, to Central Washington Hospital Hospice Program, Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, or charity of choice. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
