Description	:	Helen Opp, 91, of Eureka died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center. Helen Golz, daughter of Christian and Rose (Schmidt) Golz, was born February 9, 1917 at Vananda, MT. In the fall of 1917, the family moved to Eureka. Helen affirmed her Christian faith on June 28, 1931 at Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1935. She was united in Holy Matrimony to William Opp on April 11, 1937 at Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. William died on January 4, 1982. Helen... Read More	Helen Opp, 91, of Eureka died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center. Helen Golz, daughter of Christian and Rose (Schmidt) Golz, was born February 9, 1917 at Vananda, MT. In the fall of 1917, the family moved to Eureka. Helen affirmed her Christian faith on June 28, 1931 at Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1935. She was united in Holy Matrimony to William Opp on April 11, 1937 at Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. William died on January 4, 1982. Helen moved into the Eureka Assisted Living in February of 2005 and then moved into the Avera Eureka Health Care Center in August of 2007. Reading was a favorite past time, but her passionate concern was for her family. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, and a past member of the Retired Teachers Association, Hobby Extension Club and Senior Citizens Craft and Site Council. She had also been a Girl Scout leader and piano teacher. At the time of her death, Helen was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. Survivors include four daughters, Doris (Robert) Peterson of Mountain Top, PA, Joyce (Del) Gab of Dickinson, ND, Monica Opp of Boise, ID and Cori (Michael) Kistner of Scottsdale, AZ, one sister, Esther Herr, and one sister-in-law Ruby Golz. Her parents, husband, infant son, two grandsons; one at birth, one sister, Martha Kary and one brother, Calvin Golz preceded her in death. Funeral service will be Friday, June 20, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church at Eureka. The Rev. Linda Wahlstrom will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Eureka. Honorary Casketbearers will be her great-grandchildren. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Jeannine Drevitch, Steve Stein, Cindy Sandman, Jeff Gab, Michele Willer, Michael Dressor, Mandy Dressor, Michael Kistner, Stephanie Kistner and Mitch Kistner.
