Glen Rachuy, interim pastor at Calvary Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wakefield City Cemetery, Wakefield, Nebraska. Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wakefield City Cemetery, Wakefield, Nebraska. Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Walter was born February 6, 1911, in Martinsburg, Nebraska, the daughter of Oscar G. and Hattie (Bauman) Becker Sr. She married Clair H. Walter on June 29, 1938, in Martinsburg. She graduated from college with a teaching certificate and was a school teacher in Minnesota. She was later employed in alterations with Younkers and Fishgalls Department Stores in Sioux City, before retiring. Her husband died July 2, 1967, in Sioux City. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Marcia Cain of Sioux City; two sisters, Margaret Turner of Wakefield and Beatrice Anderson of Puyallup, Washington; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James K and Larry; and two brothers, Gerald and Oscar Becker Jr. Pallbearers will be Ron Davidson, Ernie, Toby Hal and Jeff Cain and Dustin Walter.
