Description	:	Helen I. Bohner, 93 of David City, Nebraska, (formerly of Columbus, Nebraska) died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at David Place in David City, Nebraska. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev.'s Patrick Sparling and Kurt Ebert officiating. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Helen was born October 15, 1918, north of Columbus to Henry and Alma (Twistmeyer) Johannes. She was baptized on November 24, 1918, and confirmed on May 15, 1932, at Christ Lutheran Church in rural Columbus. Helen attended Christ Lutheran School through the 8th grade. Her parents moved to a farm south of Columbus where she helped her father. Helen was united in marriage to Karl Bohner on May 28, 1939, at Christ Lutheran Church. Helen worked at various businesses over the years. Helen retired in 1982 from D & L after 15 years of employment. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and doing needle work. Helen did enjoy traveling over last few years. Helen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Helen is survived by: Son – Harold (Alice) Bohner of Nine Mile Falls, WA Son – Gordon (Susann) Bohner of Hendrum, MN Son – Orville (Charolette) Bohner of Virginia Beach, VA Daughter – Rose Davis of Bellwood, NE Grandchildren – Kim (Dave) Eilers, Jessica (Ryan) Richter, Jason Bohner, Carla (John) Magood, Denise (Robert) Collins, Charles (Shonna) Bohner, and Aaron (Cammy) Bohner 17 Great Grandchildren 2 Step Great Grandchildren Helen was preceded in death by: Parents – Henry and Alma Johannes Husband – Karl Bohner Brothers – Emil, Gustav, and Carl Johannes One infant brother Son-in-law – Terry Davis
