River Road, Escalon, for Helen Idelete Bowser who passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday ,July 29, 2009 at Orangeburg Manor, Modesto. She was 97. Born December 6, 1911 in Farmington, CA to James and Idelete Beasley, Helen was the fourth of six children. She grew up on Hart Road, in what was known as the Hart district, now Escalon. The family moved to Ceres where she attended Ceres grade schools and graduated from Ceres High in 1931. Helen married William 'Bill' Bowser in March of 1935. They were blessed with twin daughters, Jennie (Don) Erwin of Modesto and Joan (Dave) Mobley of Reedsport, OR, and a son, Jack (Barbara) Bowser of Ceres. She is survived by one sister, Alice Gilbert of Waterford, CA, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years in 1992, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 great-grandson. Helen was president of the PTA at Mt. View School and a 4-H leader for several years. She worked for many years at the Patterson Frozen Food plant in the 1950's. She was an active member in Eastern Star, Ceres Chapter 296 for over 50 years. Helen loved to read, crochet, sew, and play find-a-word and crossword puzzles. She had lovingly made countless quilts and afghans for her family and friends. A viewing at Ceres Franklin & Downs Funeral Chapel will be Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 5 to 8pm. Family and friends are invited to join Helen's family members at the Ceres Masonic Lodge at 2904 Third Street, Ceres after the services. Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spryes Way, Modesto, CA 95356
