Description	:	Helen Irene Schilousky, 91, of Ewing died Monday, June 6, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill. Helen was born on Oct. 3, 1919, in Orchard to Carl A. and Sarah A. (Pittenger) Bartenbach. Helen married Alfred E. Schilousky on Feb. 8, 1937. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, and two infant sons. Survivors are: sons and daughter-in-laws, Alfred Schilousky, James and Debra Schilousky, all of Ewing, Joseph and Marsha Schilousky of Norfolk, Eugene and Gwen Schilousky of St. Paul and John and Ruth Ann Schilousky of Laurel; daughters, Dolly Schilousky and Barbara Schilousky, both of Ewing, Alvera and Merle... Read More	Helen Irene Schilousky, 91, of Ewing died Monday, June 6, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill. Helen was born on Oct. 3, 1919, in Orchard to Carl A. and Sarah A. (Pittenger) Bartenbach. Helen married Alfred E. Schilousky on Feb. 8, 1937. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, and two infant sons. Survivors are: sons and daughter-in-laws, Alfred Schilousky, James and Debra Schilousky, all of Ewing, Joseph and Marsha Schilousky of Norfolk, Eugene and Gwen Schilousky of St. Paul and John and Ruth Ann Schilousky of Laurel; daughters, Dolly Schilousky and Barbara Schilousky, both of Ewing, Alvera and Merle Anderson of Grand Island and Debra and Mark Imel of Belleville, Kan.; 20 grandchildren, a great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Alvina Herpolsheimer of Mulvane, Kansas and a host of relatives and friends. Helen was baptized into Christ at the Neligh Church of Christ. Helen grew up and received her education in Petersburg. She devoted her life to her family. The family lived in Petersburg for 10 years then moved to Fullerton for a year, but lived in Ewing for the past 63 years. She enjoyed gardening and canned food, baked and grew fruit trees to help provided for her large family. She liked to sew and made many of her children's clothes and sewed costumes for the school programs. She also enjoyed family gatherings and reunions. Helen made time for all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives and was loved by all of them. Helen trusted in God in all that she did. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Bartenbach; sisters, Catherine Voss and Jeannette Schilousky; and daughter-in-law, Roma Schilousky. Burial was in the Ewing City Cemetery. Published in The Grand Island Independent on 6/8/2011
