Description	:	Helen Joyce (McHugh) VENSEL (7-13-1954 to 12-28- 2018) Helen (Age 63) returned to our Heavenly Father on December 28th after a brief illness. Helen was born to Norma Joyce and William Francis McHugh at St. Annes Hospital in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated from Anaconda High in 1972 in the top ten of her class and in honor society where she was awarded two scholarships. Read More	Helen Joyce (McHugh) VENSEL (7-13-1954 to 12-28- 2018) Helen (Age 63) returned to our Heavenly Father on December 28th after a brief illness. Helen was born to Norma Joyce and William Francis McHugh at St. Annes Hospital in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated from Anaconda High in 1972 in the top ten of her class and in honor society where she was awarded two scholarships. She moved right after her graduation to Spokane, Washington and immediately enrolled in college at Kinman Business University, where she graduated, again, with honors. She went to work as an Executive Assistant at what was then known as Fidelity Bank. A few years later, she began a career at ASC Machine Tools in their Accounts Receivable department. After fifteen years, she became a contractor for Keepsake Bonnet Company, where she used her skills to produce some of the products, such as handkerchiefs, baby bonnets, and mini Bible covers. She retired from the business world and offered her organization and culinary skills to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Mission Home Attendant. There, she fell in love with all the young men and women serving in the Washington, Spokane Mission area as missionaries for the Church. Helen's whole world revolved around her family. A favorite wall plaque in her home reads, "Family is everything. Everything else is just everything else." Her many dear friends were considered by her as being part of that family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her husband, Chuck (Spokane Valley, WA); son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Stevie Vensel, with their four children (Spokane Valley, WA); brother, John McHugh (Anaconda, MT); nephew and his wife, Matt and Kristi McHugh, with their four children (Pleasant Grove, Utah); nephew and his wife, Chris and Jennifer McHugh, with their four children (Anaconda, MT); aunt, Brenda Wilde (Roy, UT); and uncle, Brent Wilde (Roy, UT). The viewing will be this Saturday, the 6th of January at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 14111 E. 16th Ave., Spokane Valley, WA. Funeral services will follow in the same location at 11:00AM until Noon. Graveside services and the blessing of the grave site will be at 2:00pm at the South Pines Cemetery, 13126 E. 32nd Ave., Spokane Valley, WA. Published in Spokesman-Review on Jan. 3, 2018
