Description	:	Helen L. Czarnek, age 90, of Stanton, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Stanton Health Center. She was born on September 1926 on a farm in Pilger, Nebraska, the daughter of Rudolph and Carrie Glaser. Helen attended country school in Pilger and graduated from Stanton High School. Czarnek, age 90, of Stanton, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Stanton Health Center. She was born on September 1926 on a farm in Pilger, Nebraska, the daughter of Rudolph and Carrie Glaser. Helen attended country school in Pilger and graduated from Stanton High School. She was confirmed along with her mother Carrie, on May 20, 1942, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, Nebraska. Helen has been a resident of Stanton County her entire life. On June 21, 1951, she married Leonard Czarnek of Loup City, Nebraska. They settled in Stanton, Nebraska and had three children, Linda, Richard, and Kenneth. Helen spent most of her life as a happy homemaker. She did work several years as a waitress at the local Coffee Shop. Her later years found her babysitting and chauffeuring her two great granddaughters well into her 80’s until they were old enough to drive in which the chauffeuring role was reversed. This was her favorite job and she told many of the times she shared with them. Helen has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stanton for many years and was involved in the Ladies Aid as well as the VFW Auxiliary in Stanton. Helen is survived by: brother, Robert (Carolyn) Glaser; daughter-in-law, Linda Czarnek; grandchildren, Shari (Dean) Blecher, William Beiermann, Richard (Nikki) Czarnek,and Patricia (Dale) DeMoss; great grandchildren, Tavian Beiermann, Mariah Blecher, Madysan Blecher, Destanie, Chance, and Trinity Beiermann, Ashley Hale, Wyatt and Isabelle DeMoss, and Gabriel Czarnek. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Margie and June; her husband, Leonard; her daughter, Linda; and her two sons, Richard (in infancy), and Kenneth; as well as one grandson, Thomas Czarnek. Funeral services on Friday, December 16, 2016, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stanton. Pastor Tyler Peil will officiate, with burial in Pilger Cemetery in Pilger, Nebraska.
