She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Rose Hill, Iowa, to Ira and Myrtle Kinkade Hollingsworth. She married Gail Lowe in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1947. She married Kenneth Reed in 1949. She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Rose Hill, Iowa, to Ira and Myrtle Kinkade Hollingsworth. She married Gail Lowe in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1947. She married Kenneth Reed in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1993. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she attended Sigourney High School. She worked for John Deere Ottumwa Works for 29 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Wapello White Shrine No. 4, a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Ottumwa Chapter No. 112, a 50-year member of O.B. Nelson Unit No. 3 American Legion Auxiliary, a member of John Deere Retirees and TOPS Club. Surviving are three grandchildren, Gayle (Bill) Chew, Sandra (Kenneth) Cummings and Robert DeBurn, all of Cedar Rapids; eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Coble of Dubuque and a sister-in-law, Bessie Jean Hollingsworth of North English. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Mae DeBurn; four sisters, Opal Parr, Ethel Hayes, Margaret Newman, Maxine Gladys Bond; four brothers, Howard, Willard, Chester and Leonard Hollingsworth. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Pennington Cemetery south of Sigourney Published in the Ottumwa Daily Courier on 11/16/2009
