Description	:	Helen L. Miller, 81, of 102 N. Davis St., died at 11:35 pm June 9, 2011, at Hospice House in Ottumwa. She was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Kirksville, MO., to Frank B. and Pansy Minerva Stivers Miller. She married Nolan L. Miller Sept. 26, 1948. A resident of Ottumwa all of her married life, she and her husband were foster parents of close to 30 children spanning 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Nolan; her children, Jo Anne "Jody")Michael)Bresch, Marion Shephard, Marjorie(Jack)Greer and Deb Miller, all of Ottumwa, and Beverly Sell of Washington, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Matthew(Tara)Bresch, Marcus Bresch, Lucas(Ashleigh)Bresch, Ian Bresch, Hunter Bresch, George Farmer, Amanda(Matt)Elston, Shannon Jameson, Lysa Sell, Kimberly(John)Ullrich, Tara Acord, Brittany Brown and Dakota Brown; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary(Rix)Kimiple of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Monroe Shephard; four brothers, Carl R."Bob" Miller, Cleave Harley "Buster" Miller, George Harvey Miller and infant George William Miller; and an infant sister, Margaret Miller. Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Luers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 am Monday with the family present from 6-8 pm Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Willard St. United Methodist Church or Hospice, Ottumwa, Iowa.
