Description	:	Helen Larson Hooper, 87, of Helena, died on Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at her home. Helen was born on May 14, 1913, in Murdock, Minn., to Oscar Larson and Hulda Barrier Larson. She attended grade and high school in Murdock and Business College in Minneapolis. She worked for many years as secretary and bookkeeper. She served in the W.A.V.E.S. for three years during World War II and was stationed in Washington, D.C., at that time. Read More	Helen Larson Hooper, 87, of Helena, died on Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at her home. Helen was born on May 14, 1913, in Murdock, Minn., to Oscar Larson and Hulda Barrier Larson. She attended grade and high school in Murdock and Business College in Minneapolis. She worked for many years as secretary and bookkeeper. Mrs. Hooper was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and the Methodist Women United. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Josephine Hepner Chapter #89, Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of Sapphira Temple #79, Daughters of the Nile and was active for many years in the Oriental Band Unit of this temple. She was married to Raymond Hooper of Helena on Oct. 15, 1949. Her husband preceded her in death, as did her parents, two brothers and one sister. Helen is survived by one stepson, Wayne (Lois) Hooper of Tacoma, Wash.; one niece, Christine Larson (Charles) Darrel of Columbia, Md.; two nephews, Lawrence (Annette) Larson of Maryland and William (Jocelyn) Neville of Fresno, Calif. Visitation will be at Retz Funeral Home today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at Retz Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Forestvale Cemetery with Military Honors.
