The body has been cremated. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Connie Markle officiating. Mrs. Cochran was born Feb. 3, 1923, near Keosauqua, the daughter of Mark and Anna Dowell Aylor. She married Robert R. Cochran Jan. 11, 1946, in Carthage, Ill. She graduated from Keosauqua High School and farmed with her husband near Mount Sterling throughout their active years. She also taught school, worked as a legal secretary and worked at W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison for 14 years. Mrs. Cochran and her husband moved to Farmington in August. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Ben Gilbert and wife Karen of Denmark, John Cochran and wife Mary Lou of Burlington and Randy Cochran and wife Brenda of Mount Sterling; one daughter, Susan Krouse and husband Joe of Farmington; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth Crawford, Saxon Roush and Flo Gordy; and two brothers, Jack and Joe Aylor. Fairfield Ledger, The (IA) - Tuesday, November 26, 2002
