| Description | : | OBITUARY: Helen Louise Hartwig Mahlberg was born March 21, 1921, to Emil and Mary (Jones) Hartwig in Dunlap. She grew up in the Dunlap area and attended country school. April 14, 1945, Helen married Roman Mahlberg and the two lived on the farm east of Dunlap. Helen worked at the Sugar Bowl and the Bowling Alley in Dunlap for many years. Helen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She loved farming, gardening and the out-of-doors. She also enjoyed playing cards.
