She was born on May 19, 1925, in Danville, Ohio to the late Arthur B. and Geneva Parker. Helen was a graduate of Danville High School. She was a homemaker and spent many years working in human resources for the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission. Helen was an avid reader and sports follower. She loved watching and talking on the phone about sports. If it was sports and on cable, she would watch it. She especially enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Ohio State Buckeyes and anything tennis related. She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel. She never missed a Christmas movie and loved Saturday night movie premiers. She had a great sense of humor. She loved to watch shows like "America's Funniest Home Videos" and would laugh out loud during the whole show (even though she said many of the videos couldn't be real). She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to those she cherished. A few of her favorite catch phrases were: "Where's that newspaper? If it's in the newspaper, it's correct" "You forgot my orange drink" "Put ketchup on it" and "I got zero answers" (after watching Jeopardy). Helen's daughters remember her always reading to them when they were little, watching Helen and her husband dancing in the living room, and sitting and listening to Helen play the piano. She didn't like to cook much but they remember every Saturday she made sure she made tuna fish in her special green bowl. They will especially miss seeing her every day or being able to pick up the phone to call and talk to her, talking to her about their family history, discussing and debating local and world events and sports, watching Jeopardy with her every night, and teasing her and having fun with each other. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Coulter Jr; her brother, Bob Parker, and her parents, Arthur and Geneva. She'll be greatly missed by her daughters, Cheryl (Marc) and Pam (Gary); grandchildren, Lori, Nathan, Andrew, Nicole, Erin, Alonso, Ethan, Erin, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Isabel, Gabrielle, Carsyn, Olivia, and Nora; special friends, Margene, Jessie, Mark, Christine, Chuck, Mike, Jennifer, Howie, and cousin Donna Rae; and her special buddy, Annie the cat, as well as her pet friends, Lucy, Maggie, Zoey, Zachary, and Grace. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthur B. and Geneva Parker Memorial Scholarship in care of Danville High School.
