Law for 61 years. Born in Lawrence, Mrs. Law was raised and educated in Andover and graduated from Punchard High School in Andover. She attended Fisher Jr. College and then served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II. She was assigned to duty at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT and was honorably discharged with the rank of Yeoman Third Class in 1945. After her marriage and discharge from the Coast Guard, Mrs. Law moved to Iowa in 1945 and returned to Andover in 1949. She moved to West Yarmouth in 1978. She had also lived in Chatham. Mrs. Law worked as a medical secretary for several years. She served as co-chairman of the Gift Shop at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton and instrumental in bringing the Medi-Alert program to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. A member of the West Yarmouth Congregational Church, Mrs. Law chaired the bake table committee as well as serving on other committees. Mrs. Law enjoyed oil painting, specializing in nautical scenes; spending time at Thatcher Park Beach in West Yarmouth; and spending time with her family.
