Description	:	The funeral for Helen M. Jorgenson, 69, of rural Leeds was held Fri. at 2 p.m. at the Leeds Lutheran Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Oct. 8, 1996 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby. Rev. John Damien officiated. Naomi Modrow was organist & Mary Oehlke soloist. Pallbearers were Alvin & Sanfrid Anderson, Raymond Buckmier, Bernard Meyer, William Oehlke, Duane Peiler & Duane Rauk. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds was in charge of arrangements. Helen M. The family moved to Minnesota for a short time & then to Devils Lake. She graduated from Devils Lake Central High School in 1945. She attended college in Valley City & worked prior to her marriage to Harold Jorgenson June 4, 1949 in Minot. They farmed near Leeds until retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Leeds Lutheran Church & its WELCA. For the past 12 years she had been secretary-treasurer of the Leeds-York Farmers Union Local. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway in Devils Lake. Survivors include her husband; 5 daughters, Darlene Kay Dodds of Dickinson, Sheila Burton of Winchester, Wisc., Connie Ray Jorgenson of Leeds, Beverly Ann Oehlke of Devils Lake & Kaylene Hawkins of Bremerton, Wash.; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dr. Thomas Galleger of Devils Lake & Jack Galleger of Eden Prairie, Minn.; & a sister, Margaret Harnan of Fridley, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents & a sister, Patricia.
