Description	:	HARTLAND - Madeline Helen (Parker) Hollister, 98, wife of the late Frank Hollister, passed away May 22, 2014 at a local health care facility. She was born January 18, 1916 in St. Albans, the eldest child of Archie and Phyllis (Goundry) Parker. She was the eldest of thirteen brothers and sisters. She attended St. Albans schools and was a skilled seamstress and shoe stitcher most of her life. She married Frank Hollister Jr. in 1953. Frank died in 1991. She worked at Irving Tannery, Northeast Shoe, Dexter Shoe, and Sanfield Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter, Glenice Hanson of St. Albans; sisters, Iona Knight of Palmyra, Polly Coolen of Newport; and brother Henry Parker of Hartland; grandsons Daniel Hanson of Corinna and James Hanson of Hartland. Graveside services will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland at a later date. (Bangor Daily News 5/24/2014)
