Description	:	Helen Marie Willis was born in Tensed, Idaho on Aug. 15, 1922, to Violet Marie (Freeman) and John Henry Willis. She moved to Goldendale in 1937 and graduated from Goldendale High School in 1938. On Dec. 20, 1942, Helen married Raymond Chester Hill. Helen worked at a flower shop and at Sentry Market as well as being a full-time wife and mother. Helen was very active in the community and was a member of the Methodist church, Goldendale Grange, PEO, Rebekah Lodge, Eastern Star and the Goldendale Women's Association as well as serving as a 4-H leader. She enjoyed decorating,... Read More	Helen Marie Willis was born in Tensed, Idaho on Aug. 15, 1922, to Violet Marie (Freeman) and John Henry Willis. She moved to Goldendale in 1937 and graduated from Goldendale High School in 1938. On Dec. 20, 1942, Helen married Raymond Chester Hill. Helen worked at a flower shop and at Sentry Market as well as being a full-time wife and mother. Helen was very active in the community and was a member of the Methodist church, Goldendale Grange, PEO, Rebekah Lodge, Eastern Star and the Goldendale Women's Association as well as serving as a 4-H leader. She enjoyed decorating, sewing, solving puzzles and computer games. Her outdoor interests included huckleberry picking and camping. Survivors include her children, Lynn Wanless and her husband Brian, Ken Hill and his wife Melody, and Jim Hill and his wife Kay; brother-in-law Harold Hill; sister-in-law Ellen Willis; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hill, and siblings George and Sheryl Willis. A memorial graveside service will take place at Mt. View Cemetery in Goldendale on Friday, July 1 at 11 a.m. with a memorial service on Saturday, July 16 at the Methodist Church in Goldendale at 11 a.m. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Helen's memory may do so to the Goldendale Grange Scholarship Fund, the Goldendale Methodist Church, Klickitat Valley Hospice or the Klickitat County Historical Society.
