Description	:	MUSCATINE, Iowa - Helen M. Hein, 85, of Muscatine, died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Unity Hospital. Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Kellogg of the Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tony Hein, Mitch Hein, Danny Hein, Jamie Hein, Jeff Whitlow, and Mark Evans. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church gymnasium following the committal. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Hein was born April 16, 1917, in What Cheer, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Hazel Mae Young Curry. She married Delbert G. Hein on July 27, 1936, in Muscatine. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She worked as a housekeeper and Nanny for many Muscatine people and cared for their sick and dying; she worked as a Nurse's Aid at Muscatine General Hospital; and she and her children dressed and sold many chickens and peddled home grown produce in Muscatine. Survivors include his two sons, Robert G. Hein and his wife, Delores, of Letts, and Ronald L. Hein of Muscatine; two daughters, Carol Jean Shepherd and her husband, Tom, of Byron, Missouri, and Bonnie Lou Christensen and her husband, Ken, of Exira; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Joe D. Curry of Columbus Jct.; and three sisters, Ruth Barko, Thelma Connor, and Bernice Seright, all of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on March 22, and five brothers.
