On April 18, 1942, Mickey was united in marriage with Carl R.W. Anderson in Newton, Iowa. She worked as a private secretary at the Maytag Company in Newton, retiring in 1984 after 26 years. On April 18, 1942, Mickey was united in marriage with Carl R.W. Anderson in Newton, Iowa. She worked as a private secretary at the Maytag Company in Newton, retiring in 1984 after 26 years. Mickey died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Newton Health Care under the care of Skiff Hospice. She was 89 years old. Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R.W. Anderson on June 24, 2009; a granddaughter, Stephanie Anderson in 2006; her sisters, Pat Fryer, Mozell O'Roake and Dorothy Hesson and Geraldine in infancy. Those left to honor Mickey's memory include her sons, Timothy G. (Jill) Anderson of Newton and Alex P. (Barb) Anderson of Baxter; her grandchildren, Kelly Anderson and Aaron Anderson; her step grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Klemmensen, Ryan (Danielle) Tabor, Matthew Tabor; her step great grandchildren, Dustin and Jayden Klemmensen and Rylan Tabor; her sister, Marilyn (Matt) Leydens of Des Moines, Iowa a special friend, Rose Marchant of Newton and several nieces and nephews.
