Born in Spartanburg, SC, on June 16, 1931, a daughter of the late WMJ Herman Murray (1883–1933) and J Ferroll Mittag Murray (1892–1971); wife of the late James Henry "Jim" Laurens (1931–2002). A member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Hardee's Breakfast Bunch. Survivors include her daughter, Susan McLain (Ed); son, Jay Laurens (Neely); six grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Rothrock. Also predeceased by a sister, Edna Rhinehart; and a brother, Herman Murray. Funeral services were at 11:00 am, Monday, March 12, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by Rev.
