She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists and Telephone Pioneers. Perhaps proudest of all of the many gallons of blood donated to the American Red Cross throughout her life. Ruth was a lontime resient of Benson neighborhood who enjoyed international travel. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Janice and Rick Samson of NE., Carl and Lois Pigaga of NE., and Thom and Teresa Pigage of NE.; great nices Kate of Boston, MA. and Annie Pigage of NE. and great newphews: Joe of NC. Andrew and Jon Samson of NE. cousins Larry and Judy Effken of AZ. and Kathryn Grams of GA. A memorial service was held at Rockbook United Methodist Church, in Omaha on Dec. 14, 2011 with a private interment held at the Sterling Cemetery. Memorial to the American Red Cross or the Sterling Cemetery Association. Arrangement by Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Denter Dhapel, Omaha, NE.
