She married Norbert Beiriger on Jan. 24, 1934 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1984. She was born on Nov. 17, 1907 in Elk Horn, Wis. to Anton and Catherine Upbrook Stoeber. She married Norbert Beiriger on Jan. 24, 1934 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1984. Helen was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm near Center, Colo. They moved to Monte Vista in 1973. She was a member of St. Francis Jerome and St. Joseph Catholic Churches where she was very active in Alter Society, as well as other church activities. She enjoyed traveling, taking drives to enjoy scenery and look at crops, flower gardening and caring for her yard, square dancing and card clubs, china painting, and crafts. She was a member of the Busy Bee Extension Club and loved playing and winning at bingo and dominos at the Legacy. She truly enjoyed life. Helen is survived by her children Philip (Mary) Beiriger of Canon City, Colo, Sr. Connie Beiriger of Wichita, Kan, Lois (E. Wayne) Arnold of Anaheim, Calif. and Michael (Lorraine) Beiriger of Highlands Ranch, Colo: sisters Margaret Jones of Monte Vista and Catherine O'Hanlon of Dodge City, Kan. as well as by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters. The funeral mass was held at 10 am Mon, March 17, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Interment followed in the San Luis Valley Cemetery. Visitation was Sun, March 16 from 6-7 followed by the recitation of the rosary at at the Rogers Family Mortuary Chapel in Monte Vista. Contributions are requested to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Arrangements are in care of Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista.
