Description	:	Helen V. (Robinson) Brooks, age 95, formerly of Clinton, IA, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Alexian Village Assisted Living Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 30th at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa. Visitation will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM until the service hour at the church. Casket bearers will be Christopher Snyder, Bill Meszaros, Bill Robinson, Bryan Robinson, Paul Robinson, and Jason Werner. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery following the service. Helen was born on May 8, 1923, in Miles, Iowa, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Smith) Robinson. She married Jack Brooks on Aug. 31, 1941 in Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa. Helen and her husband Jack owned and operated the Ten Mile tavern outside of Bryant, IA for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Clinton. Helen is survived by her son, Richard Brooks of St. Charles, MO, her daughter, Barbara Snyder of Elk Grove Village, IL; two grandchildren Christopher (Colleen) Snyder and Sherry (Bill) Meszaros, two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Mackenzie Meszaros; her brother, George Robinson of Sabula, IA; her sister, Betty (Victor) Brundage of Sabula, IA, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, brother, Hubert (Wimpy) Robinson, and son-in-law, Ernie Snyder. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, 716 Mt.
