Born September 30, 1921, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Loba and Myrtle Hensley Wilkerson. She married Verle I. Anderson on November 23, 1944, in Mount Union. Mrs. Anderson worked for Sheaffer Pen Company, Seiferts and Panther Drug Store, all of Mount Pleasant. She and her husband farmed before their retirement, moving to Winfield 15 years ago. Born September 30, 1921, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Loba and Myrtle Hensley Wilkerson. She married Verle I. Anderson on November 23, 1944, in Mount Union. Mrs. Anderson worked for Sheaffer Pen Company, Seiferts and Panther Drug Store, all of Mount Pleasant. She and her husband farmed before their retirement, moving to Winfield 15 years ago. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Winfield and Amitie Club. Survivors include her husband; one son, Dennis Anderson of Mount Union; three grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Goudie of Morning Sun; three brothers, Warren Wilkerson of Morning Sun, Duane Wilkerson of Clifton Hill, Missouri, and Ronald Wilkerson of Wapello. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother. Visitation will be Thursday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. There will be no family visitation. The funeral for Mrs. Anderson will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Winfield United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Anne Lippincott officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
